Who are we?
Company History
Plaza Provision was born of a chocolate and candle production company called
"La Mulita" located in Old San Juan, which started operations 150 years ago.
In 1907 the business, already converted into a "Mom & Pop" store, was
purchased and incorporated as Plaza Provision Company.
Mr. Jim Cimino joined the company in the late 1950's and later purchased it,
converting it from a retail/wholesale chain operation to a distribution
company.
Established in 1907 as a retail store located on Fortaleza Street in Old San Juan, Plaza Provision Company has progressed steadily and is now one of the leading wholesale distributors in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Over the years it has acquired exclusive distribution rights for many well-known premium lines.

Our Management Team possesses outstanding business skills as well as technical skills. Our commitment is to maintain our organizational structures around high-performance teams.
Our primary goal and objective is to focus on the sale and distribution of quality products and to assure their representation in all our customers in Puerto Rico as well as the U.S. and British Virgin Islands.
Our Key Personnel are kept up to date on modern techniques, market conditions, and new products. They also attend major conventions and seminars on a regular basis.
Service
Our Sales & Marketing Team strongly emphasizes in-store promotions and special store sales. We average approximately 150 special sales monthly throughout the Island.
We also provide store engineering and layouts to our customers via "Space Management Services".
Our main offices and warehouse, which are modern in all respects, are centrally located in the Greater Metropolitan area, with a total space of 176,000 sq. ft. We also have a refrigerated warehouse of 20,000 sq. ft. located in Caguas, twenty minute drive from San Juan. Deliveries are made to every town on the island as required .
