We
are witnessing a huge change in the tide of residential
demand.
The
postwar boom of the 50’s and the “new era”
saw Miamians searching for new housing beyond the traditional
city limits. Then, it was the boom of the 70’s and
80’s when it seemed everyone wanted to buy a new home
in that new concept called a gated community. The
race for the suburbs led to a westward expansion until the
Everglades would yield no more. Then, Hurricane Andrew kicked
off a race to Broward County, creating community after community
in areas even further west.
Sometime in the late 90’s, the inevitable commuter
resistance began to crystallize. Miami was clearly
not going anywhere, as it has been and will be the financial,
cultural, and commercial heart of South Florida. To
get from that gated community to the office, the suburban
homeowner has to sacrifice in time and frustration at increasing
levels - often times reducing quality of life below an acceptable
standard.
Not only was Miami the destination during the day for work,
but it continued to offer more and more in the evenings
– the Beaches, the Grove, the Gables – the restaurants,
the culture, the bars. Limitless choices abound in
a truly international destination. Miami is where
people have to work, and want to play.
It is not at all difficult for URBANISM GROUP
to see that the tide has shifted – after a 50 year
move out from Miami – the move back in has begun.
And, it is just the beginning of nothing less than a residential
revolution.
URBANISM GROUP will only buy the most desirable locations
for people to live in. URBANISM GROUP
is determined to create solutions that work for the residents,
the City and the neighborhood.
URBANISM GROUP has committed itself to
provide creative concept and fresh ideas that meet the very
real wants and needs of those looking to not only work and
play in Miami, but to live there as well.
